Beautiful picture

Look this beautiful picture! I took this picture in a park in Auckland. In summer, when I had been in Mew Zealand as home stay, my friend Sayaka and I went to out by walk, and we found this park by chance. We stayed here for a moment, and took some pictures.

I like this picture very much, and when I look it, I want to go Auckland again. If I have a chance, I'll go to New Zealand with my friend.

August 19th "Muriwai Beach"

We went to Muriwa Beach. It was very strong and cold windy day. The surf of the sea was black, because of iron. On the rock, we found an seal. We were surprised. I saw wild seal for the first time. On the way to school, Tyna, our teacher, bought hot chocolate for us. We were very happy, and the hot chocolate was delicious.

August 16-17th "Rotorua"

KGU students went to Rotorua from August 16th to 17th. On 16th, we went to see lime stone caves. There were many huge lime stones, and a little scary. After that, we had a lunch at a buffet restaurant. It was really good. We ate some kiwi fruit. After our lunch, we saw cutting fur of rabbit. The sight was a little pitiful.

On the way to our hotel, we could see a big and beautiful rainbow. In New Zealand, we are often able to see rainbows. From 7:00 pm, we went to watch Maori's show. It was very powerful. After the show, we had dinner. The dinner was Maori's cooking buffet. It was called hangi. Actually, it wasn't good. The taste was very unique.

We came to our hotel at 10:00 pm. We stayed at late after a long time.

The next day, we left Rotorua, and went to Agro Dome, where we could see many sheep. The sheep's show was really exciting. But adult sheep wasn't cute, but lambs were very very cute! You can found some dogs in sheep's picture. The dogs lead all sheep. They were very smart.

August 15th "Cooking"

We were cooking with Jesse. Jesse was one of the stuff of Unitec's cafeteria. We made some muffins. My friend and I enjoyed the time. Our muffins was delicious, and I think, these were good forms.I took some of this and gave them to my host family.

August 14th "Harbour Cruise"

This day's activity was Harbour Cruise. We went to a harbour, and ridden on a ship. The down stair of the ship was a cabin, and we could have some snack and coffee. The scenes from the up stair were really beautiful! We could see big Sky Tower, huge buildings, ans beautiful harbour. We really enjoyed the time, but it was very very cold!

August 13th "Mt.Roskill"

This day, we went to Mt. Roskill Intermediate. There were many students who came from another country. There some students who is learning Japanese. They said "Konnichiwa" to us. They weren't shy, and they could speak very well. They were vigorous and friendly. And the end, they asked some questions. We answered them in slowly Japanese.

August 12th "Shopping"

Actually, this day's activity was horse riding, but because of rain, it was concerned. Instead of this, we went to Silvia Park to shopping. I bought some ingredients for my lunch. I decided to bring lunch to school. Because if I buy lunch everyday, it costs too much money. Market's foods are cheaper than school lunch. I didn't buy anything else there, but there were many cute stores. So I'd like to go there again.

This day's dinner was tortillas. I ate it for the first time. It was very nice. I'll try make it in Japan.

After dinner, Veronica made a dessert. She used fruits which I had never seen. Look the picture. Have you ever seen this?? It called "tree tomato" in New Zealand. It tasted very sour. It was mixed with apple and sugar. I ate them with ice cream, and it was very good!

August 11th "Auckland Museum"

From this week, we have an English class in morning, and go out to do class activity in after noon. This day, we went to Auckland museum. On the ceiling entrance, there were beautiful stained glasses. And there were two Maoris as front stuff. They were wearing beautiful and unique cloths. From 1:30, we watched Maori's culture performance. They were singing, and dancing on the stage. After that, we could take some pictures with Maori.

August 8th "Shopping"

This day was Sunday, so we have free time. My friends, Sayaka and Nichiru and Chisato and I went to Queen Street. Actually, I was going to catch a bus which will come to Bliton street at 8:00. But I missed the bus, so I walked to Unitec. It took an hour. I was very tired.

I met my friends at queen street. We separated by two and two. Sayaka and I went to cloth shop. I bought a skirt. It was very cute. In New Zealand, it was very cold than I had thought, so I needed a muffler. In a small store, I found lovely one, and I bought it.

I went back home at 5:00, and my host family and I went my host mother's sister's house. We ate dinner there. It was really delicious!

August 9th "Saturday"

August 9th was Saturday, so I got up late. My host family and I went out to watch Francis's soccer game.But it was rainy, so I couldn't go out from car. It was too far distance to find Francis. I took some picture, but I can't find him in my picture.

In the after noon, Veronica and I made sweets. It was very good! I wrote how to make it. After that, we watched Star Wars movie. I had never seen the movie until then.Veronica and Francis are big Star Wars fan. I watched episode two. It was very interesting, but it was difficult for me to listening and understanding all lines.

August 8 "Sad news"

This morning, I got an e-mail from my friend. It let me know death my friends. The news was a big shock to me. I couldn't believe, and I was crying alome. Even know, I feel like they are still laughing with their friends. He was my friend's boy friend. So I was really worried about her. They were killed by traffic accident. I thought, friends dying is really sad and heavy thing. I was in New Zealand then, so I couldn't attend their funeral. I wish that they can sleep peacefully. I want all my friends and family to be careful for traffic accident.

this day's our activity was going shopping. We went to St. Luks. I bought two pairs of socks with my friend. We shared each of piecies. It was very warm. After our shopping had finished, we went back to Unitec. We have an English class. But I was very tired, so I was very sleepy. I got used to stay in New Zealand quite a bit.

August 5th "Sky Tower"

In New Zealand, I have to get up at six. It was same as in Japan. I felt very sleepy everyday. The activity of this day was to go to Sky Tower. The tower is the highest building in Auckland. We went there by school bus. When we arrived at sky tower, there were a lot of things which I wanted to take pictures of it. For example, a small model of Sky Tower, and a beautiful water fall, etc...

We used a lift to go to the top of Sky Tower. The floor of the lift was transparent glass, so we could see a scary scene. When we leach the top, we were very surprised. There were bis t transparent glasses, and we were surrounded by these. It was really wonderful view!

After that, we went to the sea. We had really good time there. On the way to Unitec, we could see Sky Tower. I couldn't believe that i had been there, because Sky Tower was very high.

In this after noon, we had an English class. We met two teachers, Yvonne and Michelle. After the class had finished, we went to a computer room. We had to made our blogs. I thought, "Do I have to do blogging again!?" I don't dislike blogging, but I didn't want to have two blogs!

On the way to home, I got on a bus for the first time. I was very nervous, because I didn't know how to get on a New Zealand bus. But the driver of the bus taught me how to get on buses kindly, and I could go a bus stop which is near my home. But I couldn't find the way home from the bus stop. So I asked a man, and he taught me the way. I could go back home.

August 4th "School"

I went to Unitec, and met my friends. Everyone said, "I couldn't listen and speak English!" I thought it too. Today's morning, we had an orienteering. After the orienteering, we went out of our classroom to have a lunch. I bought a cup noodle. But it had too much amount for me to eat all. After dinner, I ate a cake, which was made by Veronica. It was very delicious. I gave my friends a piece of the cake, and they said, it is delicious, too.

This after noon, we had an English class. we had to divide two groups. One group was reporters, and the other was ambassadors. Ambassadors had to make a country on imagine. So we made "Sky Country" The country in on the sky, and we can fly with our wings. We can change our skin color like chameleons, and we eat bird and crowd and snow. It was funny class. After school, I came back home. Veronica came for me to Unitec. We dropped in a mall. When I ride in the car, I could see a beautiful rainbow. It was very big and vivid.

The dinner was good, too. After dinner, she made me a dessert. It was very very nice!! I had never eaten such a dessert. I like it. After dessert, we watched a movie. It was little scary, but I enjoyed watching it.

I went to New Zealand!!

I went to New Zealand as home stay program in this summer vacation. So I will write about the life of New Zealand.


On August third, we, KGU students arrived at New Zealand. This is the first time for me to come to foreign country, so I was anxious and nervous. I was really looking forward to see my host family. But I couldn't listen and speaking English well. In the airplane, most of my friends said that they worried about this home stay program. But I received some e-mails from my friends before I left for New Zealand. All of e-mails said, "Do your best!" and "Be careful for your health!" I was encouraged by these e-mails.

I arrived at New Zealand and I went to Unitec, where we had to go during we are in New Zealand. When we entered a room in Unitec, we received a paper, which was written information of our host family. I looked the paper, I was surprised, because my host family was changed. It made me more nervous. But when I met my host family, I was relieved. My host mother, Veronica looked so gentle and her son, Francis was very cute. They were very kind for me. I went to Veronica's home. After minute, we went to Veronica's sister, Janette's house. There were kindly people, too. In addition to this, there was a Japanese girl. Her name was Sayuri, and she came from Tokyo. We walked around in a park. I could see some beautiful scenes ans I took some pictures.

After we came back home, Veronica made dinner. Dinner of New Zealand was different from Japanese one. But it was very good. Veronica is really good at cooking. I was really happy, because Veronica and Francis were my host family.
